Avoid This Tragedy

Did you know that every puppy must now be microchipped prior to sale. This means that your puppy can always be identified to you as its owner.

This also means that your puppy no longer has to have a collar with a tag on all the time. In fact, leaving a collar on a puppy can lead, tragically to the death of the puppy. Puppies can get themselves caught up on almost anything, panic, twist and strangle.

So, please never leave a collar on any puppy when there is no lead and human attached. This also applies to a harness.

If your Council insists on a tag, this can be placed on the lead then it can never be forgotten when you take your puppy for a walk.
