Has achieved his Scent Work Novice Title –

the first Kerris Havanese to do so

Achieving 1st and 2nd Place in his Scent Work Trials

An amazing achievement for a Havanese proving that they are not just a pretty face.

Well done Jia and Shadow.

Scent Work is a sport that is based on the task of working detection dogs to locate an odour and communicate to the handler that the odour has been found. Detection is done in a variety of environments and often during changing weather or environmental conditions.

Kerris Rjoice For Arlo – ‘ARLO’

2 years of age
Arlo achieved 1st place in the level 3 trial at Hobart Obedience Club today Sunday 26 August. This involved heeling on lead with changes in direction at discretion of the tester and stop/start where the dog is required to sit by your side with no command when you stop walking, sit stay 30 seconds, drop stay 1 minute, stand for examination, recall, heeling in figure 8 with random commands for drop and sit. All this with the distraction of other dogs and people in close proximity.

MDBA Master Breeder of the Year

Being Nominated by my puppy owners and being able to attend the Awards Night.

FAME and her owner Yvonne being accepted to work within NSW Schools speaking to young children about the right way to handle dogs. I am very proud of Yvonne and Fame as this took lots of dedication, hard work and a very special Havanese.
